Anyone interested in a bulk buy at the Holiday Light Store in Raleigh?
Maybe, we could get a discount if we purchase enough.

I've got some interest, but I don't think they carry LED strings.
It looks like they have anything else you'd want for wireframes, though.
Do they have a web link or catalog?
They are located in south Raleigh. Walter, remind me and we will go there next week. They have a neat showroom. Hot but neat.

I have done business with them for about 2 or 3 years. They do an after Christmas sale each year. They are a great company. Cindy Honeycutt and her husband owns the company . I know Cindy very well, in fact I have her Nextel number on my radio. If I can be any assistance on a group buy please let me know and I will be glad to sit down with Cindy and see what we can come up with. If you have never been there, they have a great show room with all the wire frames on display. They can also do custom work and make you about anything there is.
Don
Charity and I also took a walk through their showroom. Very impressive. I can understand the heat - that many minilights get warm.
Cindy mentioned she knows Don. I invited her to the get-together we had - I was there a few days before that - but she had already committed to do an out-of-state on-site salvage job. A customer had bought a rather large display and put it together wrong. Sounds like good customer service there.
She said they don't currently (as of July) sell LED's, but were thinking about it. She also told me of several ways to fix/update my current wireframes. They stock light clips for wireframes; at the time it was $40 per 1000, but she'd break that down to smaller bags in multiple of 100's. However, they don't have the clips that would fit the coat-hanger thick frame my flying deer are made of. She suggested zip ties for those.
It all appears to be commercial grade, not residential. They will start being open on weekends soon.
Cindy's husband Lin is the North Carolina Baptist Men's regional coordinator for disaster relief. I 've gone on a few disaster relief trips and he coordinated my teams a time or two. So, I guess I knew him long before I started buying stuff there. Lin only recently (last year or so) started helping out Cindy fulltime.
Jack, you are correct. There is enough lights in that showroom to heat the place up. It is fun looking through the stuff in there though. I'm just too cheap (like our mascot) and make my own wireframes. Cheap, cheap, cheap.

They do have a lot of nice looking stuff, but they are proud of their prices. I'm sure for commercial displays they do fine and the prices are fair for that market.
I order my wireframe clips from Betty's, been paying $19.00 per thousand, ordered 5 thousand last year so still have a good inventory. Just noticed Betty is now $29.95 per thousand.
And like Al said, I make my own wireframes because I'm too cheap to pay those prices, and besides, its fun!

We plan on making a trip to The Holiday Light Store somtime over the holidays. If they have a sale after Christmas we may wait until then to go.
