Default TASL Candy Cane Group Buy (checking to see if possible)

I need to buy candy canes to give away. Is there any interest in a group buy? It should be cheaper if we order in larger quantities. I won't ship but people in the Raleigh area (TASL) can pick them up or we can make other arrangements.

I haven't talked to Deb yet but I'm guessing 1000 for me. I am guessing.

I'm interested. I'll also talk to the candy distributor next door to see what contacts he has for getting some. Been meaning to ask him for a bit anyway...

I am interested in 1000. Last year (in my new Santa suit) 750 candy canes lasted me just over an hour.

I found a source for small Hershey bars with a picture of Santa on the packaging. They are 26 each in a pound which costs $1.99 or 7.65 cents each. Deb is trying to convince me to buy these. If I can cut a deal for these would anybody be interested? I'm not sure I can because that is cheap. A case is (currently) $48 and has 624 bars in it.

    I like the chocolate bars.

Whatever deal you work up, I might participate (chocolate or candy canes).

What is amazing is that the bars are twice the size of miniature bars that we give out for Halloween. Deb found the deal. She says "few people like candy canes but almost everybody eats chocolate". I thought about it and maybe there is some truth to that. The only draw back is cost per piece is higher.

I can see the wheels turning down at Denny's and Scott's houses.

Hmmmm, I am more thinking that the candy canes are the Christmas classic. But I will get some opinions from the family and let you know ..

I've use these guys in the past for the mini candy cane (.15 oz) at about .039 cents each.

So, all we need to do is drive by your house 1000 times each?

Hey John, I think we are ready for the Raleigh shopping tour. I just thought of a way to keep several of them busy with candy canes while we raid their stash of Christmas stuff........

I call dibs on the DMX lights at Al's house, hopefully they are already mounted in those really cool acrylic domes.

    Sounds like a plan, Dave.

Al won't miss them, he can just rig up a couple servos attached to a Mighty Mini and controlled by his servo dog. He would still have moving LED lights, unless you also want his 16 Mighty Minis, then he can just sit there and munch on his candy canes and chocolate bars.

I know who will get flaming bags of poo deposited on their porch for Halloween.

My advice would be to leave the pyrotechnics to the experts like Mel, you might end up with stinky burnt fingers. Hey I wonder if Mel ever thought of sequencing flaming bags of poo?
