No new work from my side on lights. Updated to do list:
- I've signed up to get the steel for the star workshop, but I already have plans so can't make it. Have to work on getting the steel, borrowing the template later, and getting a buddy to help me weld it together. Fun part: where to put this. I was going to put it over the windows over our garage until I realized that it only slopes toward the front of the house and there is no peak. Now I have to put it on the top of the house in the side to side peak. With a different angle on each slope. Whee!!
- I need tomato cages. Lots and lots of tomato cages.
- I need more lights. I know this is everyone's "problem". However, I think I have to be smarter now than I used to be about buying lights. Something about knowing how many watts each light string is, the colors you use, and so forth. And then something about fading? Mercy...
- Rope lights. I have to figure out how to "rope" off my lawn so others don't walk into it. I am at the end of a cul-de-sac and my lot is triangle shaped. I don't think my 10-20' of frontage is really enough to have to worry about. Do I string the lights in front of all my neighbor's houses too? What will they think of that?
- Speaking of which, what are my neighbor's going to think about this "upgrade" to my 6 channel set from last year? Are they going to be receptive or unreceptive to these changes? How many want to participate and help out!? What's the best way to ask them?
Man, I just wanted some cool Christmas lights, not another headache! What am I getting myself into!?!?!?! Dunno still, but it should be a lot of fun and TOTALLY worth it in the long run!!!
More later as I figure out how I'm going to get all this work done!
