I use the EDM and love it. The PLL circuitry is superior for the money. PLL is phased locked loop and that is what keeps the frequency from drifting. When you order it you have to solder a couple things that take 10 minutes. No biggie. If your house is close to the road then the "test" antenna that comes with it is sufficient. But my house sets back 125ft or so from the road. The test antenna was not a good thing. I bought this antenna and now I'm concerned that I'm transmitting too far.

The cable that you connect the antenna with can be pricey. RG8 can be about $0.75 per foot. However, you could get by quite nicely with RG6 which is available at Walmart and lots of places. In theory the higher you mount the antenna the longer the transmission distance. I bought a piece of black iron pipe and strapped the antenna to my chimney. You have to look for it to see it.

My transmitter and antenna work extremely well.

I have the EDM as well and can highly recommend it for ease of construction and setup as well. The audio quality is unmatched. I also have a Belkin with the antenna modification, not as good as the EDM but was a good place to start to see if I could cover the area I needed. I now use the Belkin as my Ipod/Car radio interface. I you want to check them out I can lend them out to you for trial to see what best meets you needs. There's nothing like broadcasting Christmas music to the neighborhood in the middle of July to get you going!!!
And on the 8th day, God created Christmas lights.

    240 Channels of DMX

Carl, you can order direct from EDM.

There maybe a group buy later in the year, saves a few bucks, Scott posts in the LOR and SCL boards if he does it again.

I already have a Belkin Mod but with the Power line near my house I'm afraid I can't get a good reception.

I wouldn't mine Testing your EDM, Thanks

Carl I going to get the EDM LCD myself. I'm just waiting to see if there is going to be a group buy or not. Most are waiting for RDS model to come out hopefully at the end of this month. If it does I will be getting that model.
