    Default FM Antenna Wire

I build a 4" PVC Pipe Chase through the side wall of my garage so I can get a hundred or more SPT2 wires easily out of the garage. I recall that the 485 wiring from the controllers need to take a different path. But what about my FM antenna cable ? Can I get away with stuff it through with the SPT2 wires ? It would only be for about 20" ...

Here are some pics of each side of my pipe "chase." The outside is near my front deck. First I will try painting it the house color but if that still looks too much like an ugly drain, I will box it in. I put the threaded cover on the outside so I can seal it up off-season ..

Denny, if you are switching large loads using shimmering or fade you could see some sub-harmonics showing up in the FM transmission. I experienced some really cool sub-harmonics running through my house during fades last year. It made the breaker box vibrate and hum. It was really neat. My engineer buddies got a kick out of it. The triac PWM action was the culprit.

Send the audio out with the RS485. You will be fine. You will experience "random" problems mixing the communication (RS485) with the field (light loads) wiring.
