    Exclamation Current issues with ChristmasCarolina.com

After a routine update to one of the software packages that makes CC run (specifically PHP), we found that one of the add on modules called vbSeo (give us simple web addresses, like /Important-Information/ instead of /forumdisplay.php?f=10) completely broke... and the better news is the company we paid for the module has abandoned all support for it.

We are looking for a better solution as users maybe linking to URLs using the old system which may break.

We will keep you posted as we figure this out...

    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Update 1 - Jan 26th @ 12:30 PM

    - Uploaded a new SEO module from DBTech (the same author as the User Tagging module)
    - Imported most of the vbSESO settings and some of the links seem to be back working ok
    - Now going through different sections of the site now doing more high level testing before getting into specific issues

    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Update 2 - Jan 26th @ 3:20 PM

    - Cleaned up most of the old vbSEO code
    - Updated the User Tagging module to latest version (Now you can use hashtags to tag content #CCUpdates )
    - Updated Tap-A-Talk server components to the latest version

    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Update 3 - Jan 26th @ 6:13 PM

    - Added new DBTech Advanced Post Thanks/Like system and was able to import the old "likes" from the vbSEO system: Advanced Thanks/Like mod is a peer encouragement system allowing users to thank and/or like each others posts to encourage the thanked person to post more great content.

    Rob -

Thanks. I was wondering what happened. I must have hit it yesterday when you were having issues with it.

Ok... so while at the TASL meeting yesterday, I updated a few of the plugins that were added as a result of the original issues notes above and as a result a few other things broke... Those should all be fixed now.
