Daz 3D Software FREE this month!

Where can we get details on how this video was made ? It would be nice to know what was involved to match up to the shapes of the house, projector angles, etc. How many hours invested to make it ?

The one catch to this free program, if you listen in the tutorial they say you can purchase from the store additional items. Who knows what those are going to cost. Anyway I downloaded it & will give it a try.

That sounds great Mike. It would be nice to know how the house template gets set up .. must obviously start with a secure and precise mounting of the projector so it would be easily get back in the exact same spot each time you take it out. I am guessing that you can draw around the outlines of the house by using the tool in live projection with your computer .. then draw around the segments that you want to isolate and/or black out (such as everything above the roofline). Then start applying the video segments. The little wedge section between the upper and lower roof lines was a really cool thing. So drawing around the areas where the video segment would be applied .. is the key.

It would be GREAT if some of those old cartoon movies could be purchased in digital form for a reasonable price. And the same with the various characters. That would be a time and cost comparison. Drawing them might take a bit of time vs how much to they cost to buy ...

Keep us posted. This could be a neat way for a great Halloween display without a lot of setup (once everything is designed) .. I presume you would run the video LIVE from a computer, unless you have a projector that can read a USB key or something.. Pretty cool !

He used a wireframe layout to get it positioned correctly. You can see that in this video



He just burned the video onto a Blu-Ray disk and used a player together with the projector. Setup details included in this video of his



Fun stuff! Now if I could only find the time with the software to put together such a cool scene!

I like this. The initial definition using wireframes to draw the outline of the house "live" was exactly as I pictured it. Very stright forward. This would be a very compact and repeatable way to handle different holidays throughout the year. I love the projection box with speakers ... All in one !

oh well it was just another toy i did not need anyway simple uninstall will fix it

I downloaded it and got my serial numbers right away. Been playing with it for a few minutes and cant figure out how to get my wardrobe and some of the other things. With anything else it will take some time to figure it out.
